BackgroundNeil Brodie is an archaeologist with wide-ranging experience. He completed his B.A. (Hons.) Class I, University of Liverpool, Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology) in 1988 and his PhD (on the Beaker Culture in Britain, University of Liverpool) in 1992. He has conducted archaeological fieldwork and research in Greece and Europe and has co-directed fieldwork projects in Greece and Jordan. He has been with the IARC since its foundation in 1996 and is now one of the world's leading authorities on the subject of illicit antiquities. He writes and lectures extensively on the subject all over the world, and teaches and advises postgraduate students at the Department of Archaeology, University of Cambridge.
