Abstract:

This lecture presents core results from the BAMPICa project, funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. The project focused on the mortuary practices and society of the people living in the southern Carpathian Basin during Late Bronze Age. The research demonstrates how the communities explored district body treatment during burial, and also how communities with similar treatment of the body could have different material culture. The content and context of several selected graves will be further discussed.
