Bob Smith Prize awarded to Brian Stewart
A recent successful grant proposal by Brian Stewart to the Prehistoric Society has been awarded the Bob Smith Prize (established by Dr G. Wainwright of the Prehistoric Society to commemorate the late Dr R.W. Smith). The grant will help support Brian's project 'Adaptations to Marginal Environments to the Middle Stone Age' (AMEMSA), which explores and compares early modern human responses to two challenging ecological habitats: the rugged Lesotho Highlands and the arid coastal desert of Namaqualand, South Africa. Brian is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the McDonald Institute and Fellow of Homerton College.
