Administrative Assistant (Part-time) variable hours
McDONALD INSTITUTE FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH
Salary: £8.02 per hour
Part time (0-10 hours per week between 01.03.10 and 30.09.10, with the possibility of extension)
The post holder will provide administrative support to Dr Cameron Petrie (Project Director) for Phase 1 of the project entitled Cultural and geographical transformation of northwest India between 2000 and 300 BC sponsored by the Isaac Newton Trust. Duties include: bibliographic data entry, library research, GIS-based data entry, filing, archiving and helping with the organisation of workshops and seminars.
The hours of work will vary between 0-10 per week and work will be carried out at times arranged by Dr Petrie. Ideally, you would start on, or as soon as possible after, 01 March 2010. Funding for this post runs until 30 September 2010.
Applicants should have some experience of library research and maintaining a filing and archiving system. Familiarity with or interest in Indian archaeology would be a definite advantage
