McDonald book on Malta launches at the British School at Rome
The latest volume in the McDonald Institute monographs series entitled Mortuary Customs in prehistoric Malta: Excavations at the Brochtorff Circle at Xaghra, Gozo (1987-94), edited by Caroline Malone, Simon Stoddart, Anthony Bonnano and David Trump with Tancred Gouder and Anthony Pace has just been published.
This is the first major report on the prehistoric archaeology of Malta for forty-five years and is particularly interdisciplinary covering the fields of history, history of art, archaeology, anthropology and physical anthropology. As such, we believe the publication will make a very important and long-lasting contribution to understandings of Mediterranean prehistory.
