Two ‘Outstanding Academic Titles’ from Cambridge Archaeologists

Each year CHOICE, a periodical of the American Library Association makes the award of “Outstanding Academic Title” to books across the entire subject range, on the basis of a number of criteria including overall excellence in presentation and scholarship, and importance relative to other literature in the field. In 2009, 14 titles were awarded under the heading ‘Anthropology’ of which two involved Cambridge Archaeologists.

They are Feast: why humans share food, by Martin Jones, and Handbook of archaeological theories, edited by R. Alexander Bentley, Herbert D.G. Maschner, and Christopher Chippindale.
