Does archaeological science have a history in the same way that the history of archaeology has been documented? If so, how we do chart the development and impact of scientific study and does this shed light on contemporary archaeology? Using the medium of the book cover, this presentation will illustrate how the character of archaeological science has developed and become a part of the mainstream in documenting the lives of people in the past.
